Voices Against Violence works towards the elimination of domestic and sexual violence and stalking through direct service, education, and systems change.

Helpful Definitions

Domestic Violence

When someone uses certain behaviors to maintain power and control over an intimate partner in a relationship. These behaviors can include physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse.

Sexual Violence

When someone forces or manipulates another person into any unwanted sexual act. This includes using drugs, threats, or coercion.

Stalking

When someone repeatedly follows or harasses another person in order to threaten or scare them.
